America and the World are trying to survive the cruel, corrupt, and unlawful actions of Donald Trump, the Republican Party, and the MAGA 6 Supreme Court Justices. This post is about the consequences of evil that the Bible and the teachings of Jesus warn about.
It makes me beyond sad to write that these eight people could have used their power and faith for the greatest good for all Americans and the nations of the world. Instead, they have used their positions of power not to honor God or Jesus but to do the ego-driven work of evil.
As I state in my political posts, I do not hate Trump, but I do care about the America I grew up in and its survival.
Americans have always been told, “No one is above the law, not even the President of the United States.” For 10 years, what we have seen is Donald Trump getting away with breaking laws that any other American would be serving time in jail.
Democratic Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor knows and respects the law, and regarding the “immunity” ruling, stated:
What right does the United States Supreme Court have to grant immunity for criminal acts that any president would be part of? What right does any person have to decide who is worthy of life and who is not?
Researching the facts and sharing what I discovered with the world is one of my missions as a writer. As you read this post, I hope you will think about each of the scriptures in the Bible I quoted and whether or not Donald Trump, the Republicans, and the MAGA 6 Supreme Court are using those teachings and values in their decisions that impact all Americans.
Considering the way Donald Trump and the Republican Party claim the United States is a Christian nation and use religion to get votes by preaching how evil the “Libs” are, I decided to channel my Southern Baptist Bible-based upbringing about the scripture in the Bible.
My Unity faith, which is Christ-centered, teaches that God is our source of love, peace, joy, compassion, wisdom, guidance, and purpose, and that God lives within all of us. We are not separate from the Divine light within.
The promise in the Declaration of Independence is the America I wish were true for all Americans. For 250 years, it has been a struggle that We have yet to win.
If it weren’t for my only child, I admit that I would have lived in ignorance all my life, thinking our laws are always implemented to help the most vulnerable. When my only child was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy at age four, I quickly learned about the lasting pain of discrimination.

I think both major parties have lost the trust of the American people by failing to exercise their Congressional powers to hold all corrupt politicians accountable, as I have previously researched and written about in the Betrayal Of America series.
Unfortunately, Americans are now living in the most divisive of times, where it is no longer about Republicans or Democrats. Who you vote for has now become the choice between good and evil, democracy or fascism.
I remember two great one-liners that came to mind while I was drafting this post. My Dad always said: “In God we trust. All others pay cash.” And “Trust in God but row away from the rocks.”
2024 Election Vote Count
The total number of votes for Donald Trump was 77,302,580. The total number of votes for Kamala Harris was 75,017,618. She only lost by 2,284,967 votes.
Approximately 20 million registered voters chose not to vote. Those 20 million put their unhappiness with the choices first instead of considering what the consequences would be if a convicted felon and sexual abuser were voted in.
To any MAGAs reading this post, my question is: How does it feel to be watching Donald Trump get richer while your family cannot make ends meet, no matter how hard you work? Are you and your family better off because you believed in his campaign promises? Which ones has he honored? Which ones were based on living a Christian life?
To other Americans, how did your decision not to vote work out for you and your family? How did it affect your friends, neighbors, and coworkers?
Since 2016, one of the hardest things for me has been to see how MAGAs trusted a man they never met, a man who said and showed he did not care about them or their families, instead of believing their close friends and family members.
Politicians who care about people and their families do not take away their income, health insurance, or food, or deport people without due process that the law requires, or arrest them and hold them in concentration camps.
By the way, where is the Republican replacement that was going to be superior to the Affordable Care Act (ACA), also known as Obamacare? Guess what? The Republicans never had one. It was another false promise to get votes.
Today, all Americans are paying the highest price because of those Americans who continue to believe the FAKE TRUTH of Donald Trump and the Republican Party, so we can all be caring “Christians” like them.
The 2024 Betrayal
The 2024 Betrayal has been intentional. Trump’s election in 2016 was the testing ground and a clear warning that he did not live a Christian life.
Electing Trump, an insurrectionist, a convicted felon, and an adjudicated sexual abuser, again in 2024 was not only the greatest betrayal of every American soldier who fought for our freedom, the United States Declaration of Independence, and the United States Constitution, but also the betrayal of God and the teachings of his son, Jesus.
Americans want their leaders to stand up to corrupt politicians in the same way that any American would be held accountable for acts of violence and breaking the law.
The Democratic Party, led by Joe Biden at the time, also betrayed the American people by not arresting Donald Trump for the January 6, 2021, insurrection because Trump would not accept that he lost. He still has not been held accountable in any way.
I believe not holding Trump accountable for the brutal attack on January 6, viewed by the entire world, and not investigating Epstein’s decades of evil sex-trafficking, cost the Democrats the win in 2024. The victims still have no justice!
You also cannot serve your Billionaire funders, corporations, dark money, paid lobbyists, and your constituents. That is definitely a huge conflict of interest. It’s not a well-kept secret which of those two groups Donald Trump is devoted to and which one he despises.
JAMES 2:26 “For as the body apart from the spirit is dead, so also faith apart from works is dead.”
I’m pretty sure that wearing a red hat, a cross, and a t-shirt claiming “Jesus is my Savior; Trump is my President” is not “the works” referred to in the Bible.
America The Flawed Democracy
I so hoped that Trump would live up to the Christian he wants everyone to believe he is and do the work of God and Jesus. Just like every president elected to serve all the American people, Donald Trump could have been a hero, making our country greater and more respected in the world. The opposite happened.
The public record proves daily that Trump is not a person of his word, and he does not follow the teachings of Jesus. He has not fulfilled his campaign promises. About the only statement Trump made during the campaign that came true is, “I will be a dictator on day one.”
Do you think God would be okay with any of his precious babies, children, women, and men being slaves of evil men or dictators?
Can you imagine if Barack Obama or Joe Biden ever said those words? I’m pretty sure they would have been arrested immediately and prosecuted.
According to the World Population Review, the United States is now rated a Flawed Democracy and ranked 28th globally. Our Democracy is flawed because of Trump’s self-serving Executive orders and other unchecked actions as president.
Flawed democracies can emerge because of weak endorsement of democratic norms and institutions. Corporate news channels fear punishment for bringing the truth to the public. Corrupt politicians are not held accountable for their crimes. Civil Rights and laws that existed before are taken away. Key areas of policy are controlled by unelected actors (DOGE, Billionaire funders, lobbyists, and unelected advisors).

Have you asked yourself, how in the world Donald Trump, an insurrectionist, a 34-count convicted felon, and adjudicated sexual abuser, was allowed to run for POTUS?
Hard to believe that, after 250 years, there is a major flaw in the United States Constitution that has never been changed. There is no general ban on a convicted felon running for President of the United States!
Article 11, Section 1, Clause 5 sets out only three eligibility requirements: Be a natural-born citizen of the United States. Be a least 35 years old. Have been a resident of the United States for at least 14 years.
What is not taken care of falls apart. Because those requirements have never been updated since 1787, many of us have lost trust and faith in both major parties.
Actions always speak louder than words. The fact that the Republican Party still allowed Donald Trump to run in 2024 after the evil that Trump directed and unleashed on our nation’s Capitol on January 6, 2021, is the truth of what their party stands for. Win at any cost, even if you have to sell your soul.
History Shows Trump’s Pattern
Donald Trump has a pattern of shifting from one political party to the next based on whether he can win, rather than a strict commitment to party ideology. We the informed people know that is true.
Trump could have chosen God over politics, power, and money. The path he always chooses is to serve only himself. If he genuinely believed in God and our democracy, then the people living here would be thriving instead of dying and grieving.
Did you know that Donald Trump was a registered Democrat for about eight years? He donated to Democratic candidates, including Hillary Clinton and Kamala Harris, during those years. Trump even praised the Democrats for the economic performance their policies created. Now he has threatened to arrest his political opponents.
Always seeking the best deal for himself, Trump switched back to the Republican Party in September 2009, briefly registered as an Independent in December 2011, and rejoined the Republican Party in April 2012.
Did you know that Trump’s personal fortune is now estimated at 6.5 billion according to Forbes?
Seven Evil Acts That Are Detestable To God
Have you ever noticed the other word that makes up the word Devil? It is Evil.
In the Bible, the word “evil” is mentioned 92 times, and there are hundreds of warnings about “false prophets”. A false prophet is a person who falsely claims to be a chosen one and “speaks to God.”
Evil is that which is morally wrong or wicked, and the opposite of good. It is also considered a rebellion against God that leads to separation from him, spiritual death, Divine judgment, long-term societal decay, and worldly suffering.
Proverbs 6:16-19 in the Bible states:
“There are six things the Lord hates: seven that are detestable to him: haughty eyes (people who think they are better than everyone else), a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil, a false witness who stirs up dissension among brothers.”
The scriptures call all of us to help and serve others. It also calls us to stand up for justice and equality for all God’s children; to speak out against war, gun violence, corruption, and evil; to protect the vulnerable who are babies, children, and women living in poverty and domestic violence; people living in hospitals and in hospice; people living with incurable diseases and lifelong disabilities; the elderly, heartbroken, homeless, lonely, addicted, victims of sex-trafficking and sexual abuse.
How would you feel if every day you were judged because of the color of your skin, or by who you choose to love, or what faith you practice, or whether you have a disability or incurable disease, or how many material possessions you have or do not have? The Bible says, “Judge not, that ye be not judged.”
Ezekiel 24:14
There are consequences for evil acts. “I, the Lord, have spoken. The time has come for me to act. I will not hold back, I will not have pity, nor will I relent. You will be judged according to your conduct and your actions, declares the Sovereign Lord.”
Jeremiah 10:6-7 and 10:
This scripture teaches honor for the true God: “No one is like you, O Lord; you are great, and your name is mighty in power. Who should not revere you, O King of the nations? This is your due. Among all the wise men of the nations and in all their kingdoms, there is no one like you. But the Lord is the true God; he is the living God, the eternal King.”
1 Peter 3:8-12 :
This is about judging other people. “Finally, all of you, live in harmony with one another; be sympathetic, love as brothers, be compassionate and humble. Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult, but with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing. For, whoever would love life and see good days must keep his tongue from evil and his lips from deceitful speech. He must turn from evil and do good; he must seek peace and pursue it. For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer, but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.”
Jesus’ Respect For Women
Jesus elevated the role and value of women who were often seen as second-class citizens. They had limited rights and roles in society at that time. He treated women with respect, admiration, and as an equal.
He taught that both men and women are called to love and serve one another as equal partners in life.
Jesus believed that women were intelligent, highly spiritual, and were crucial to his ministry. He treated them as individuals with authoritative voices, stories, and opinions.
Women were not just followers of Jesus. They were committed to helping Jesus with his mission and spreading the word of God.
Matthew 28:1-10
This scripture is about the first witnesses to the resurrection of Jesus Christ were women. “After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb.
There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it. His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men.
The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples. He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him. Now I have told you.”
So the women hurried away from the tomb, afraid yet filled with joy, and ran to tell his disciples. Suddenly Jesus met them. “Greetings,” he said. They came to him, clasped his feet and worshipped him.
To all the men reading these words from the Bible, is this the way you treat the women in your life, your mothers, the mothers of your children, and your daughters?
America Does Not Belong To A Political Party
People respond to what feels meaningful in their lives.
Politics, at its core, is more than differences of opinion about policy issues and how the taxpayers’ money is spent. It is identity, social connection, belonging, security, and hope for a better future.
The path to save America is love and respect for each other. Americans and our Congressional leaders need to put our democracy back under the control of its rightful owners by changing our thinkng from “me” to the “WE”.
Unity happens when we remember the values and ideas we have in common. We love our children and grandchildren, friends, family members, and faith communities. We want the people we love to be safe and healthy, to receive a quality education, to pursue a career they are passionate about, and to love and be proud of their accomplishments. We want a livable wage, so we don’t have to work two or more jobs to make ends meet, yet still never get ahead.
We do not want to be at war with any nation, taxed to death, worked to death, commercialed to death, celebritied to death, Big Pharmaed to death, or worried sick to death.
We the People means standing with one another, not above one another, through the good times and the rocky ones, leaving no one behind. We are not enemies. Let’s partner up, listen to each other, and work together on shared goals and our commitment to create a real nation under God with liberty and justice for all.
Political choices and your vote reflect who you are as a person and do have consequences. How you choose to vote will either make life better or harder for all Americans, strengthen our country or weaken it, and put everyone at risk. So when in doubt, pray and seek the truth.
