America is alive and belongs to all because We the People are the seeds of freedom and the points of light shining through the dark times created by the Trump Regime.
I have often felt that writing is a spiritual experience. For weeks as Christmas approached, the desire to write and what I wanted to write about were a jumbled mess of thoughts and feelings, leaving me weary.
Then, three divine messages cleared the way.
Divine Message Number One
On December 18, 2025, early in the morning, while having coffee, an Occupy Democrats YouTube video captured my attention with the title, “Pope Leo XIV Just Dropped A Brutal Xmas Surprise On Trump.“
Below is part of a four-page statement issued by Pope Leo XIV, featured in the video.
“Unfortunately, it has become increasingly common to drag the language of faith into political battles, to bless nationalism, and to justify violence and armed struggle in the name of religion.
Believers must actively refute, above all by the witness of their lives, these forms of blasphemy that profane the holy name of God. There is a growing tendency among political and military leaders to shrink responsibility, as decisions about life and death are increasingly delegated to machines.”
Divine Message Number Two
On December 26, 2025, I received a beautiful handmade Christmas card with a poem by John and a personal note from April. A poem by Howard Thurman inspired John’s poem and April’s note.
Howard Thurman was an author, theologian, educator, and civil rights leader.
This was April’s note to me: “The quote we shared by Howard Thurman is actually a short poem entitled, The Work Of Christmas. I believe your blog is a perfect example of what he is talking about. You write compassionately to those who are hurting and are courageously speaking truth at this precarious moment in our nation’s history. Such effort demands a lot of time and emotional energy. As a new year dawns, we wish you moments of beauty to replenish your soul, moments of laughter to make your heart glad, and moments of stillness and reflection to invite peace and perspective into your days. Thank you for sharing your heart with your writing.” 💞 John and April, thank you for your love, encouragement, and for recharging me!
Divine Message Number Three
On December 29, 2025, around 2:30 AM, I woke up and started praying. As I often do, I asked for guidance regarding my writing because I felt sad and stuck. I asked God for the words the world needs to hear explaining why some Americans still believe in Trump and why they do not believe what they hear and see, but continue to excuse his unlawful decisions.
The message came immediately: Isaiah 6: Isaiah’s Commission.
The scripture from verses 11-13 is written: “Then I said, “For how long, O Lord?” And he answered:
“Until the cities lie ruined and without inhabitant, until the houses are left deserted and the fields ruined and ravaged, until the Lord has sent everyone far away and the land is utterly forsaken.
And though a tenth remains in the land, it will again be laid waste. But as the terebinth (Mediterranean turpentine tree) and oak leave stumps when they are cut down, to the holy seed will be the stump in the land.”
Unfortunately, I do not think that MAGA cares about all families, only their own. So, when the Trump-induced pain of his policies finally impacts their family, then they will know the pain they are responsible for because they trusted in a false prophet instead of the teachings of God and Jesus.
Although I grew up in a Bible-based Southern Baptist Church, I do not recall ever reading this particular scripture from the Bible. It was striking because that is what Trump and the Republican Party seem to be doing-destroying 250 years of fighting for freedom, equality, the rule of law, and justice for all.
For ten years, Trump has shown America and the world who he really is, enabled by the Republicans who only care about their political careers and enriching themselves instead of doing the Work of Christmas, which could also be called the Work of Democracy.
The morning of December 29, I started writing this blog post.
Jesus Was The Birth Of Democracy
Trump does not own America, nor does he have the power to command anyone to be under his cruel control. We the People hold the key to our future.
This pro-democracy, anti-Fascism fight has chosen America. Congress and the Supreme Court could end the merciless Trump Regime right now. This fight is not about Democrats or Republicans. It is the fight for accountability, human dignity, decency, and freedom for all.
The Christ Consciousness
We are born free spirits and remain free forever if we stay connected to the Christ Consciousness. Christ Consciousness is the spiritual belief of unity with the divine, transcending the limitations of the ego. It is a state of awareness associated with the teachings of Jesus Christ: unconditional love for one another, living in peace, being kind, forgiving, and knowing that all life is interconnected.
Why should any of our days here on earth be less than living an authentic life, true to one’s own personality and values? People who genuinely love God and Jesus live a life of empathy and being in service to others. Helping others is a big part of feeling good about yourself and a rewarding way to live.
Jesus’ spirit was always free because he cared about diversity, equality, and inclusion. He cared about children and women and loved them. Jesus helped the homeless, the elderly, the hungry, the heartbroken, the lonely and depressed, and people who were sick or disabled. He did not judge. He held out his hand instead, listened to people’s concerns, and offered kindness, comfort, and solutions. Jesus also cared passionately about justice and treating all people with respect.
Which of those Christian values does Trump practice?
Patterns Don’t Lie
One of the most difficult betrayals to understand is when a person you believed in, admired, and trusted turned out not to be a person of their word. They lied with a charming smile on their face. They promised to have your back, but stabbed you in the back instead.
Your tears of regret and pain meant zero to them. Their mission of misery was complete because you gave them all you had, and they moved on to the next unsuspecting victim.
If you want to live an anger-free, fearless, and joyful life, learn to recognize the patterns of promise but then betrayal. Promise yourself you will never be in that position again. Remember, he or she who has nothing to hide, hides nothing.
Did Trump bring joy and prosperity to America and the world, or did he drain it?
Dictators do not last because they cannot kill the power of love and the spirit of freedom sought by all of humanity.
At some point, we have to stand in the truth of who we are in this world. Who you follow and surround yourself with is also who you become. We cannot blame anyone else for not living the life we thought we would have and believe we deserve.
Keep The Season Of Light Going
Christmas is the season of peace and goodwill to every child, woman, and man on earth. Around the world, We the People, are all connected and sharing this wondrous earth.
America is home to the Native American tribes and immigrants from every country in the world. Americans will not let the country we love become the United States of Trump.
In this season of light and to honor the life of Jesus, we will not let democracy die in darkness. America will live and belong to all again. Lady Liberty will still hold her torch high to welcome the tired and poor who long to be free. America will regain its standing as the beacon on the hill.
One of my favorite songs about the struggle America has yet to win is sung passionately by Queen Latifah. The title is “I Know Where I’ve Been.” The lyrics below are just a part of the song, and I hope you will check it out wherever you look for great music.

America is at its best when we all work together.
Are you ready to show your grit, goodwill, can-do spirit, and generosity? Are we prepared to be the lights and holy seeds as the new foundation for freedom in America beginning in 2026 and beyond? Are you with me?
