The resources in this post are the 10 best I have found so far to make informed decisions about the upcoming 2026 midterm elections and beyond.
It is urgent to understand what to look for when evaluating anyone running for public office.

Number 1: Center for Creative Leadership (CCL)
In my opinion, knowing whether people running for positions of great power are trustworthy is the first step. What life experiences and qualities do they have that will make them a great leader?https://www.ccl.org

CCL has been researching the traits of a good leader and the role of leadership for nearly 6 decades. This organization lists 3 core truths about the traits of good leaders.

Number 2: US Law Explained

Sadly, we live in a news and social media ecosystem that is permeated with propaganda, outright lies, and misinformation. To not become its victim, you must educate yourself about the founding documents of the United States government and your legal rights.

Number 4: Media Bias Fact Check
This website is the most comprehensive media bias resource on the internet. You can check the credibility of any news source for political bias and factual accuracy. https://mediabiasfactcheck.com
For example, on 9/14/2026, I checked the Bias and Credibility rating for Fox News (foxnews.com).
The report gave Fox News a LOW FACTUAL rating as a QUESTIONABLE SOURCE. Extreme RIGHT Bias Rating.
“A questionable source exhibits one or more of the following: extreme bias, consistent promotion of propaganda/conspiracies, poor or no sourcing to credible information, a complete lack of transparency, and/or is fake news. Fake News is the deliberate attempt to publish hoaxes and/or disinformation for profit or influence. Sources listed in the Questionable Category may be very untrustworthy and should be fact-checked on a per-article basis.”
Number 5: U.S. Vote Foundation
The U.S. Vote Foundation has a 4-star rating with Charity Navigator (the highest rating). https://www.usvotefoundation.org
As American citizens, our two most important powers are our voices and our votes. This website has everything you need to know about the voting process.

We should always remember that our votes matter and have consequences. Before voting, make sure you are registered and do your research. Then ask yourself: Will the candidates I am voting for work for a better America for all? Will my family be better off if I vote for them? Or will they work against my values and interests?
Follow The Money To Find The “T” About Politicians
Number 6: Track AIPAC
Find out if your members of Congress are working with the Israel Lobby. Be prepared to be shocked and disgusted by the politicians on both sides who take large amounts of money from AIPAC. https://trackaipac.com

See every side of every news story. See through media bias with reliable news from local and international sources. https://ground.news
Number 10: Brennan Center for Justice

According to the Brennan Center for Justice, the 2024 federal election cycle was the most secretive since the Supreme Court’s Citizens United decision in 2010. That decision allowed many groups to spend money on elections without disclosing their donors.
Since 2010, dark money groups have spent at least $4.3 billion on federal elections! Let that sink in. 4.3 billion reasons to demand campaign finance reform.
Shared Values And Goals Of Republicans And Democrats
I think most Americans are finally realizing that, whether we voted Republican or Democrat, we want the same things for ourselves and our families.
We are not as divided as the news and social media drama want us all to panic over every single day.
What Americans strive for reveals America’s spirit and the beliefs we have in common. But many elected officials have betrayed the people they represent because they aren’t held accountable for failing to honor their oaths and live in the protected bubble of Washington, D.C.
Tough Cookie Tip: My purpose and hope for writing this blog post is to unite all Americans for one common cause-to reconnect to the founder’s Spirit of America and fight for a lasting freedom that all human beings deserve.
I also hope you will take the time to check out these carefully chosen resources, consider the information in each one, and take action to be an informed citizen and voter.
The truth is, President Donald Trump, the Republican Party, and his administration have shown the world who they truly are. At any moment, they could have worked for all Americans and honored their promise to “Make America Great Again” by working with the Democrats to solve our country’s many problems. Trump could have been the “President of Peace”.
The record clearly shows, however, that Trump is not a man of his word. He has never paid back his voters. He especially betrayed the U.S. farmers, cattle ranchers, and truckers. Trump has only paid back his billionaire buddy donors.
The Republicans do whatever he orders them to do, and together they have abandoned their oaths and the American voters who believed in them.
Trust your gut. The 2026 midterms will decide all of our futures. Courage is created by the day-to-day decisions that we make. Choose faith over fear.
In all of my previous political posts, I have been critical of both political parties. i have also stated that I am not anti-Trump. I am pro-human rights and pro-democracy.
The history of our country proves that the American people are best served by presidents and politicians who understand that lasting freedom for all requires a government of the people, by the people, and for the people. Our democracy has survived for 250 years. Your vote to save it matters. On November 3, 2026, we will find out if the Spirit of America is still strong.
